From word of mouth to verified listings
GezaApp started in 2024 with a simple observation: Ethiopians buy and sell property through referrals, and every referral ends with a question — “is this real?”
We built a marketplace where that question is answered before you ask it. Sellers verify their identity. Documents are checked against title records. Properties are visited. What you see is what you can own.
Today GezaApp serves buyers, renters, agents, agencies and developers across Addis Ababa and Mekelle — with a roadmap that extends across East Africa.

How does GezaApp verify a property?
Sellers upload their national ID and the property's title deed. Our verification team checks the documents, confirms ownership, and for higher-value listings performs an on-site visit before the listing goes live.
How much does it cost to list a property?
Individual sellers can list up to 3 properties for free. Agents and agencies subscribe to a plan — Professional at ETB 990/month or Agency at ETB 2,900/month, plus 15% VAT.
Which payment methods are supported?
Online payments are under development. Telebirr, CBE Birr, Chapa, Amole, HelloCash, Coopay e-Birr, bank gateways and cards are planned. Until then, invoices are issued and settled off-site.
Which cities does GezaApp cover?
Addis Ababa and Mekelle are live today. Dire Dawa, Hawassa and Bahir Dar are on the roadmap.
What happens if a listing is fraudulent?
Report it using the flag on any listing. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours; confirmed fraud leads to suspension and, where relevant, is escalated to authorities.
Is my personal data safe?
Documents are encrypted at rest and visible only to the verification team. We never share your ID or contact details without consent.
